Stephenville (formerly Texas Trucks Direct) - Vander Haag's, Inc.

In April 1982, Stephenville Truck Center commenced its journey as a two-person service operation, addressing the demand for a truck repair facility. Responding to market needs, an onsite Parts Department was introduced, initially starting with a modest inventory. By 1988, the department expanded from 800 to 2,400 square feet.

As the business continued its upward trajectory, a rebranding took place in 1994, transforming from Stephenville Truck Center to Truck, Ag & Auto. This change reflected the community’s requirements—a comprehensive parts and service center for trucks, agriculture, and automotive needs. January 2000 marked the incorporation of Truck, Ag & Auto.

In August 2006, an expansion unfolded as Truck, Ag & Auto acquired adjacent property. The existing building and parts department underwent remodeling, expanding to 6,400 square feet. New offices were constructed, and the service bay was enlarged to 6,000 square feet from its previous 2,400.

Facing challenges, December 2013 brought an unexpected setback—an ice storm causing the shop roof to collapse. Despite this adversity, the business seized the opportunity to rebuild a more modern service shop while salvaging the existing pad.

September 2017 saw several enhancements, including a larger back parts counter, an improved Service Writer office for enhanced visibility, and a revamped waiting room with WIFI and Netflix to elevate the client experience.

Adapting to changes in the market, the decision was made to return to the roots of specializing in trucks due to declines in agriculture and automotive clients. After extensive research, the business was rebranded as Texas Trucks Direct in alignment with their expertise and passion for trucks, becoming the direct source for all parts and service needs.
