Vander Haag's, Inc. is currently accepting applications for a full time, leadership role as a Service Assistant!

 

The right individual must be self motivated, organized, and be able to work with a wide range of internal and external customers. This position will work closely with our Service Department Leader to direct and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our Service Department. 3 - 5 year’s experience working in a diesel service shop environment is preferred.

Regular duties for this position include:

• Communicating directly with Service Technicians to ensure parts availability for assigned work orders.
• Maintaining a neat and organized shop and work area.
• Assisting the Service Department Manager by assigning work hours to Service Technicians to meet customer needs and maximize efficiency.
• Managing the process of work orders from start to finish.
• Communicating directly with the customer regarding estimates, repair authorizations, repair updates, and method of payment for invoices.
• Working closely with the Parts Department to ensure parts are recorded and invoiced appropriately.
• Assist with all end of month checklists and reports.

Hours: Day shift hours, Monday through Friday. Hours are generally 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. No evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call hours required!

Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000/year. Rate of pay will be heavily dependent upon experience level and qualifications.  This position will also be eligible for an efficiency bonus based on the performance of the service/fabrication shop.  Bonus is paid each month.
