Vander Haag’s is currently accepting applications for a full time Warranty Claims Specialist. This position is responsible to resolve customer concerns primarily with engines, transmissions, and rear ends, process warranty claims, and provide feedback to various Vander Haag’s departments regarding customer complaints.

General responsibilities include: gathering information from sales and customers; issuing necessary credits to customer accounts; documenting data and information regarding warranty claims; working with vendors in regards to warranty issues with their product(s). Prior knowledge of diesel truck parts and/or service (especially with drivetrain components) is required. This position works closely with sales, service, and the customer to assess the validity of warranty claims and make recommendations for resolution. Prior mechanical experience is a plus, but not required.

The right candidate must have strong problem solving skills and ability to make appropriate immediate decisions with minimal supervision. Prior experience with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred. The right candidate must also be comfortable researching information on the internet to help resolve customer concerns.

Hours: This position offers day shift hours Monday through Friday. No evenings, weekends, or holidays required.

Compensation: This position pays an hourly wage of $20.00/hour+ depending on qualifications and experience, especially prior experience/knowledge in the diesel or trucking industry.
