Are you a hands-on personality that likes working on diesel engines? Your career is waiting for you at Vander Haag’s! We have an opening for a full time Engine Technician at our Columbus location!. This position does inspection and repairs for all used drive train components that have been removed by our Dismantling team. Repairs include inspecting and replacing rod and main bearings as well as other components identified in our inspection process. You get your own work bay inside our shop that uses our ergonomic-friendly work stations and engine stands… no more crawling up, under, and around the trucks!

Vander Haag’s also offers:

• Regular overtime hours on a day shift schedule.
• No evenings, weekends, or holidays!
• In-house training with our own ASE-Certified trainer!

A two year diploma or degree from a Diesel Technology Program is preferred.  Prior experience with diesel drivetrain components in a shop setting is also preferred.

 

Hours: Day shift hours, Monday through Friday.

 

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour with overtime pay available for any hours worked beyond 40 per week.  Hourly base rate will be dependent upon qualifications and prior experience.
