Employee Spotlight: Meet Daniel!
Meet Daniel Sargent! Daniel is a Yard Technician on the Salvage team at our store location in Council Bluffs, Iowa! He has been a part of the Vander Haag’s family for nearly 12 years now, initially starting as an intern during his time at Iowa Western Community College and working in a full time capacity since graduating there.
Daniel has spent his entire time in the Salvage department in Council Bluffs, but has done a number of different jobs during the course of his 12 years: dismantling, pulling parts in the yard, and for the past three years, he has been running equipment and pulling parts. Every day looks a little different – from moving trucks in and out of the shop to loading/unloading customers and vendors to checking parts list and maintaining the yard, Daniel gets involved in a lot of different things throughout the course of his day.
He says that the most enjoyable part of his job are his co-workers. “I like the guys I work with, we all make a pretty good team.” Daniel is an important part of that team, too. He’s been in the Salvage department in Council Bluffs longer than anyone else on the team!
Beyond the team in the Salvage department, Daniel says he enjoys the culture that he feels at Vander Haags. “I like working for a family owned business who truly appreciates their employees.” Well, Daniel, we appreciate you being a part of our family!
